Long Skirts

Long, flowy maxi skirts are in again. It definitely a trend we saw in all the Fall 2010 catwalks. The maxi skirt is perfect for a warm fall day where it’s too cold for short or a leg-baring skirt but a little too warm for pants. The style is very bohemian with a little touch of hippie. There are a lot of many ways to wear the skirt. You can update this look with a cropped shirt and showing some lace lingerie or complete the boho look with a oversized top. There many options to try. Have fun and try to give this trend your own personal touch.

Mara Hoffman Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2011

Last weekend I worked in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Me and my friend Melissa had to welcome VIP guest to their front row seats. It was a very good experience, because I had a pass to go to every show and cut all the lines haha. There where many good shows, but my favorite one was the Mara Hoffman show. It was amazing, pretty much what I would wear to the beach.

Hi Lovers ! For the last three months I have been living in three places at once. Orlando, Sunrise and Miami are my three homes right know and it's crazy.  I have clothing scattered all over the place, when I'm getting dress I always have an item that I am missing because I forgot to pack. Anyways (I wanted to share my frustration) here some of my recent buys.

Tomorrow I'm going to be working at Mercedes Benz Fashion week Miami. I'm so excited and I promise to take lots of pics.

Sunday Brunch

There is nothing better than a sunday brunch. I like to spend Saturday nights in company of friends then waking up close to noon on Sundays. My typical first meal in a brunch would be eggs benedict with a side of OJ and  of course you can't go to a brunch and not have a mimosa. So, what to wear ? It usually depends of the kind of quality of the restaurant. I usually wear a dress with wedges and a statement  piece of jewelry. For me this outfit screams Sunday brunch.

Neiman Marcus Cookies

I am always on the hunt for the best cookies and cupcakes in town. I love Neiman Marcus, they have the best designer handbags selection, but I also go there for their cookies in the Mariposa restaurant. They are the most delicious cookies that I have ever tried.

About a year ago my dad sends me an email about a recipe and guess what ? they were the Neiman Marcus cookie recipe. I was static (they charged like $300 for the recipe RIDICULOUS). I wanted to share the famous recipe.

Neiman Marcus Recipe

2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal and blend in blender to a fine powder)
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 tsp. salt
1 8 oz. Hershey bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2 tsp. vanilla 

Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet..Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies.. Have Fun!!!

Madonna

So I promised not to blog on vacation but I reallyyyy wanted to share the new 2010 Fall/Winter Dolce & Gabbana ads. I'm not a big fan of Mr. Gabanna but I sure do love Madonna.

I think that they are trying to portray a normal family life. Even thou there isn't any "normal" in Madonna.

Madonna just keeps getting better with age. 

J. Crew

I am big fan of J.Crew, I love their classic styles that always come with a little touch of a new trend. The Fall 2010 look-book is amazing. Loving every piece, there is a lot of layering. I also think their clothing is very good quality, they last forever.
